Batangas bishop to issue sample ballot

Lipa archbishop Ramon Arguelles said on Easter Sunday parishes in Batangas will issue sample ballots to guide voters on May 13 elections.

Those to be endorsed are bets who are not only anti-RH but are following the church’s stand on other key issues such as anti-dynasty and environment.

Among those favored to be in the list are Ang Kapatiran senatorial candidates JC delos Reyes, Marwil Llasos and Rizalito David, and UNA’s Mitos Magsaysay.

Church is “bullying voters”

First, this Jesuit schooled activist turned senatorial wannabe claims that “there is no such thing as Catholic vote.” (see post below)

Now, that the Team Patay campaign by many dioceses has spread like wildfire and threatens her ambition to become a senator (first try she lost as the unlucky No. 13), she accuses the Church of “bullying Catholic voters.”

Huh??!!

I really feel sorry for Risa Hontiveros who has transformed to become a trapo, using dirty character assassination against her critics.

Look who is bullying the Church?

Catholics know better where trapos or soiled rugs are place – in the garbage heap or dustbin of history!

Hontiveros: No Catholic vote

On the occasion of the International Day of Women, we salute all the women of the world, especially Catholic women.

But, I doubt if I should include this one …

Former feminist activist Risa Hontiveros who espouses “new politics” sang like a dime-a-dozen American Idol aspirant at the Team PNoy rally in Davao.

This looks to me as very trapo (traditional politics). Nakakahiya!

Earlier during a press meet, she claims that there is no such thing as a Catholic vote.

Well, maybe not yet enough to win the presidency, but certainly we have enough Catholic votes to ensure a senatorial bet’s defeat.

A member of Team Patay, Catholics should not just ignore her name on May 13, the faithfuls should campaign against her.

Remember when she started as a member of Congress in 2004? She attacked the then Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger in a privilege speech. The Vatican would later elect the German Cardinal as Pope Benedict XVI. Oh yeah, she had been anti-church a long way not just on the RH bill.

3 Kapatiran bets, Mitos get Bishop blessing

Three senatorial candidates under Ang Kapatiran and anti-RH Mitos Magsaysay got the backing of Batangas Archbishop Ramon Arguelles.

JC delos Reyes, Marwil Llasos and Rizalito David, according to the prelate “are the only ones who are committed to promote what is good and true and godly.”

Check this complete report.

He said Mitos Magsaysay “stood by us until the end [of the anti-RH struggle]”

Running for the fun, funds of it

Until we learn how to vote responsibly, we get a bad government that we deserve.

Greg Macabenta dissects to us the real motives of those seeking public office: How to run for the Senate.

We may laugh at it but its the truth. Candidates run for the fun and the funds of it!

Hence, it is important to vote the Catholic way – vote for the upright, vote for the qualified, vote for those who will serve the common good and not for their selfish gains.

Maceda, Poe, JV present platforms

What do senatorial candidates plan to do once seated in the Upper House?

Here are three bets sharing their platform during a recent media forum.

Maceda – fight crime, create jobs, decentralize government;

Poe – fight poverty, help the farmers, address unemployment;

JV – increase the income of municipalities, improve agriculture, create jobs

I guess every Juan, Pablo or Maria seeking public office say the same promises. Oh, well … your pick.
